Director of Sales

The Role

A hands-on player-coach sales leader to build and run HyperSphere's sales engine as we lay the groundwork for Series A. You'll carry a personal quota while leading a small, high-caliber team of account executives and sales engineers — owning pipeline generation, deal execution, and forecasting.

What You'll Do

  • Build the sales motion from the ground up: define the qualification framework, establish pipeline discipline, and create a repeatable process for selling into complex, high-security environments
  • Install MEDDPICC as the operating language of the sales organization and coach the team to fluency
  • Carry a personal quota and lead by example on pipeline generation, value-based discovery, and deal execution
  • Own forecasting and revenue accountability that underpin the Series A raise
  • Partner with the President and marketing to refine ICP, messaging, and competitive positioning

What We're Looking For

  • 10+ years in B2B cybersecurity or enterprise software sales, including 3+ years in a front-line leadership role
  • Proven ability to install and coach MEDDPICC and Force Management / value selling frameworks
  • Track record of building pipeline and closing deals in early-stage environments without brand recognition or inbound support
  • Comfortable operating as a player-coach: leading team while personally advancing strategic deals
  • Experience selling data security, encryption, or adjacent cybersecurity categories

Enterprise Account Executive

US-Based Remote-Friendly Full-Time Commercial

The Role

Full-cycle enterprise account executive selling HyperSphere's keyless encryption to large commercial enterprises. You'll prospect, qualify, and close — running value-based conversations with CISOs and security architects across financial services, healthcare, manufacturing, and critical infrastructure.

What You'll Do

  • Own the full sales cycle: prospect, qualify, present, negotiate, and close enterprise deals in the $50K–$250K ARR range
  • Build pipeline from cold — this is a hunter role, not a farmer role
  • Run value-based discovery that connects HyperSphere's keyless architecture to specific business risks: compliance costs, key management overhead, and data protection gaps
  • Navigate complex procurement, legal, and security review processes
  • Collaborate with Sales Engineering on value-focused demos and Proofs of Value

What We're Looking For

  • 7+ years selling cybersecurity or data security software into large enterprise accounts
  • MEDDPICC and value selling fluency — you can articulate your deal qualification process, not just your win stories
  • Experience building pipeline from scratch in an early-stage environment
  • Technically credible: comfortable in a whiteboard session with a security architect
  • Sold into multiple verticals — you'll help us learn which segments convert fastest

Sales Engineer

US-Based Remote-Friendly Full-Time Pre-Sales

The Role

You will own the technical sale from discovery through proof-of-concept to close — translating complex cryptographic concepts into clear, compelling value propositions for CISOs, security architects, and IT leadership.

What You'll Do

  • Explain — Lead technical presentations and whiteboard sessions that connect HyperSphere's keyless encryption to specific customer pain points around key management, compliance, and data protection
  • Demo — Deliver value-focused demonstrations (not generic walkthroughs) tailored to each prospect's environment and security requirements
  • Prove — Design and execute Proofs of Value with clear business outcome success criteria that validate HyperSphere's impact in the customer's environment
  • Create technical content, build demo environments, and support partner enablement
  • Provide field-driven product feedback to shape the roadmap

What We're Looking For

  • 15+ years in cybersecurity or data security pre-sales
  • Deep expertise in encryption, key management, and data protection architectures
  • Experience with Force Management and value selling methodologies strongly desired
  • Ability to hold a whiteboard conversation with a CISO and translate to a boardroom audience
  • Prior experience at vendors like Thales, Vormetric, Voltage, or comparable encryption / key management platforms a plus
  • Security clearance preferred but not required

Business Development Representative

The Role

AI-native outbound pipeline generator. You'll be HyperSphere's tip of the spear — researching target accounts, crafting personalised outreach, and booking qualified meetings for the enterprise sales team. This is a fully remote role built around modern AI-powered sales tools, not manual dialers.

What You'll Do

  • Build and execute outbound prospecting campaigns targeting CISOs, security architects, and data protection leaders at enterprise accounts
  • Leverage AI-powered tools (Clay, Apollo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator) to research accounts, identify intent signals, and personalise outreach at scale
  • Craft value-driven messaging that leads with key management pain, compliance costs, and data protection gaps — not product features
  • Qualify inbound leads and route them to the appropriate AE with full context
  • Maintain disciplined CRM hygiene and activity tracking to support pipeline forecasting
  • Partner with the Director of Sales to refine ICP targeting, messaging sequences, and qualification criteria based on what's working

What We're Looking For

  • 1–3 years in a BDR/SDR role, ideally in cybersecurity, enterprise software, or a technical B2B environment
  • AI-native seller — you already use tools like Clay, ChatGPT, Apollo, or similar to accelerate research and personalisation
  • Strong written communication: you can write a cold email that a CISO actually reads
  • Curious and coachable — you want to learn value selling and MEDDPICC, not just hit activity metrics
  • Self-motivated and disciplined in a fully remote environment
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity concepts or willingness to get up to speed quickly on encryption, key management, and data protection

Head of Software Engineering

The Role

Technical leader to build, scale, and own HyperSphere's engineering organization. You'll take a patented, defense-validated platform and transform it into a scalable, enterprise-grade product — while recruiting and leading the team that builds the next generation of keyless data protection.

What You'll Do

  • Own the engineering roadmap: translate product strategy into technical architecture decisions and delivery milestones
  • Build the engineering team from early stage — recruit, hire, and mentor software engineers who thrive in ambiguity
  • Architect for enterprise scale: multi-cloud deployment, S3-native integration, sub-1% performance overhead at petabyte volumes
  • Drive engineering quality: CI/CD, testing frameworks, security-first development practices, and NIST/DoD compliance automation
  • Partner closely with the President and product leadership to align engineering velocity with GTM milestones and Series A targets
  • Own technical debt decisions: balance speed-to-market with long-term platform integrity

What We're Looking For

  • 12+ years in software engineering, with 5+ years leading engineering teams at startups or growth-stage companies
  • Deep experience with cloud-native architectures — S3/object storage, distributed systems, multi-cloud deployment
  • Strong background in security engineering — encryption, cryptographic protocols, data protection, or adjacent domains
  • Track record of building engineering teams from 3-5 to 15-20+ while maintaining quality and velocity
  • Hands-on technical leader: you can review PRs, make architecture calls, and debug production issues when needed
  • Experience with compliance-driven engineering environments (NIST, FedRAMP, SOC 2, HIPAA) strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with Go, Rust, or C++ for systems-level development

Software Engineer

The Role

Build and extend HyperSphere's keyless data protection platform — a patented system that transforms how unstructured data is encrypted, obfuscated, and stored across cloud, on-prem, and edge environments. You'll work at the intersection of cryptography, distributed systems, and cloud-native infrastructure.

What You'll Do

  • Design and implement core platform components: encryption pipelines, data transformation engines, and S3-compatible API gateways
  • Build multi-cloud deployment tooling — HyperSphere runs across AWS, Azure, GCP, Wasabi, and MinIO
  • Develop and maintain automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code
  • Contribute to NIST NCP compliance tooling and security hardening automation
  • Work directly with customers and Sales Engineering during Proofs of Value to debug integration issues and improve the product
  • Help define engineering standards, code review practices, and documentation as an early member of the team

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
  • Strong proficiency in Go, Rust, Python, or C++ — systems-level thinking is more important than a specific language
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure: AWS/Azure/GCP, containerization (Docker/K8s), object storage (S3)
  • Familiarity with cryptographic concepts: encryption algorithms, key management, data protection patterns
  • Comfortable working in an early-stage environment where you'll wear multiple hats and ship fast
  • Experience with security-focused development or compliance frameworks (SOC 2, FedRAMP, NIST) is a plus
  • Security clearance eligibility preferred but not required
